Peer Review Guidelines
All submissions to JBST are rigorously reviewed. This process will be double-blind, meaning that the identity of the
referee is not disclosed to the author and the identity of the author is not disclosed to the referee. The peer-review
procedure of the journal is as follows:
-
All submissions are evaluated by JBST editor in terms of English composition, scientific quality and ethical principles to verify the requirements for publication in JBST before being submitted for peer review. To contribute positively to the acceptance of the article, if necessary, the editor's opinion is requested from the relevant field editor and/or language editor.
-
The submission will be assigned to a relevant field editor who will invite a referee to evaluate the manuscript.
-
The first decision regarding the article as Acceptance, Revision or Rejection is made by the editor after the final referee reports are received.
-
In the final decision of the submission play the effective role that opinion and evaluation by the referee.
-
JBST provides a peer review report form (template) to make the process systematic, standardized and streamlined. It should focus on the multi-directional evaluation of the manuscript in terms of English composition and scientific quality, and should aim to provide constructive comments to improve the quality of the manuscript, if necessary. These aims are required that assessment be done at a fair, rapid, comprehensive and comparable level.
-
JBST takes conflicts of interest with the highest degree of seriousness, both to protect its standards and to its publication policy. It is therefore important that all authors disclose any conflict of interest to the JBST editors and reviewers.
-
Referees are obliged to protect the confidentiality of a work whose decision process has not been completed.
